Commissions
I offer unique life like drawing and painting commissions of people and pets.
Whether you have a clear idea in mind or need some guidance I’m happy to direct you through the process and create a piece that is personal and an heirloom to have for generations for your home or as a gift.
The Process
Each commission begins with a conversation about your ideas, this will include subject matter, size, medium, and the space the work is intended for or who the artwork is for.
What I need from you
To start your commission, please provide:
· A short description of your idea
· Multiple clear reference photographs
· Your preferred size
· Your preferred medium (Graphite, soft pastel, oil paint)
· Deadline requirements
· Any other details you’d like included
Reference photos
Reference photos are a very important part of my commissions, the best artworks come from clear, high-quality photos. Natural lighting with a clear view of the face is very helpful. I encourage you to send multiple photos, this helps me to understand the features and colours, I will then select an image that will translate best into an artwork, agreed with you.
Medium & Size
Mediums listed in order of price low to high
· Graphite pencil
· Soft pastel
Works can be created in a scale of your choice, with guidance from me where needed.
Pricing
Pricing is based on:
· Size of the artwork
· Medium selected
- Graphite pencil, soft pastel,
· Number of subjects (people)
· Level of detail (e.g. complexities of clothes or background)
· Framing requirements
Each piece is quoted individually once I have an understanding of your request.
Payment
Pay in full or an instalment system can also be arranged if needed.
Payment can be made via bank transfer, Revolut, or cash.
Timeline
I’ll provide an estimated timeline at the start and keep you updated along the way.
Delivery
Finished works can be collected in person or carefully shipped. Delivery options and costs will be discussed and will not be included in the original price.
Framing
All my framing is provided by a local framing using premium materials and non-reflective glass, this will be included in the price.
Usage
I retain the copyright to all artworks. If you’re interested in prints of the artwork, this can be arranged separately.
